B&B Tamayo is the perfect place to stay for a memorable weekend or vacation in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Nestled between the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River, you will find Saugerties Bed and Breakfast at B&B Tamayo is the perfect way to take advantage of the urban amenities and the great outdoors. Restaurants, music, art, movie theatre, unique shops, Farmers Markets, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, swimming, all within minutes of our location. The Village of Saugerties has it all, and you can do it all, or, nothing at all.
For 25 years, we were the proprietors of the Saugerties Cafe Tamayo. As early advocates of the Farm to Table movement, we also founded the Saugerties Farmers Market. Our complimentary Signature breakfast represents our philosophy of using locally sourced ingredients, prepared with great care.
James Tamayo is a 1981 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He has worked in a variety of fine hotels and restaurants, including the White Hall Hotel in Chicago and The Plaza Hotel in NYC. One of the highlights of our careers was to be invited to participate in two dinners at the James Beard House in NYC.
By 1989 we found many of our dinner guests were traveling to dine at Cafe Tamayo. In response to customer requests for a comfortable place to stay after dinner we opened Saugerties Bed and Breakfast at B&B Tamayo.
Let Saugerties Bed and Breakfast at B&B Tamayo be your private getaway in the heart of the Village. Whether you are the outdoorsy type looking for adventure or just want to curl up with a good book, Saugerties and the Hudson Valley have something for you. We can point the way, but we promise never to be in the way.
James and Rickie Tamayo,
B&B Tamayo Innkeepers
